The first rule in this industry is that when you get with a agency you don't pay them to find you gigs regularly, they only get paid if you book a gig through them and it can range from 10-20%. Read a book or two and take a class before you start complaining about having to take classes to build your craft. Some of the highest paid stars spent more on that for classes with the finest so think twice. And if you suck , that's probably why you needed them cause they probably couldn't make money off you. This industry is all about money!!! |

| 4. Written by Sarah on February 29, 2012 from mason, ohio, US I went to the meeting they said I would have to attend, they said they would only take half the class so after the meeting they called in half the class in one room to say sorry we don't need you and the other half to say they want to work with you, but really want they did was told both groups they wanted them. I went to the second meeting and found out they wanted ALOT of money for classes and even said they might not be able to get me jobs, but they might... Ok.. Well why the he'll am I going to pay you a *** load of money for a few classes and not get one job put of it... I didn't give them any money and ran. I then found an agency they only takes $100 to have you on the site all year and then they got me 2-7 interviews a month and I made it into one movie! And agency that you have to empty your bank account for to get maybe a job is a scam! Run people they are misleading *** that only want you money. |
| 5. Written by unknown. on February 9, 2012 from tampa, florida, US I notice that a lot of these posted reviews are a little old, but i still need some help. I found them online a few months back and applied never thinking that they would actually call. Just recently they called telling me that they are looking into young men and woman around the age of 21 such as myself. I went to the first interview not knowing what to expect, everyone was really nice. I am not really expecting anything because this was kinda on a whim. The classes that they told me about touches on everything that i want to improve on so why not. I have set up another interview for tomorrow. I have no idea what they are expecting me to pay, but i am a broke college student if what has been said is true.. they cant afford me. I want to learn this self confidence skills but i also don't want to be screwed. I live in Tampa, does anybody know of any helpful tips to build self confidence, the ability to hold up in an interview, and stage fright. I thought my problems were solved..... any thoughts? |
| 6. Written by Cherie on February 9, 2012 from seattle, washington, US John Casablancas protrays themselves as a modeling agency verbally, BUT read the contract and you will learn otherwise. They are not going to find modeling jobs for you. They are a high-priced school misleading innocent young people into believing their line of crap and charging them big bucks in the process. My daughter, age 18, went there today. She was lied to. READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY. They are under no obligation and are not authorized or licensed in WA State to provide employment to anyone. There is a lot of language in the contract that is completely unacceptable. High-pressure sales tactics, dangling carrots and half truths and lies were all verbally presented to my daughter. John Casablancas is a scam or worse downright fraud. The portfolio price was 850.00 plus taxes. The addendum in contract once signed entitled them to the photographs. You don't even own them after you pay THEIR photographer for them. There are some great articles online about how to find a reputable modeling agency. READ THEM PLEASE. I don't want another young, naive person to waste their time or fall prey to this "school". That is all they are and from the comments here, they don't appear to be much of a school either. BEWARE and remember...if it isn't in writing it just isn't part of the deal. They do NOT find you employment. They take big bucks and "train" you. We will be issuing a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General in WA State tomorrow. This company is highly unethical. |
